Mahmoud Ibrahim Aboushook

 Professor

Profile

Prof Dr. Mahmoud Aboushook has been graduated from Cairo University, Faculty of Engineering Mining department since 1974. His senior project was about planning and construction of a tunnel under Suez canal.

His first job was an assistant lecturer in 1975 in the Faculty of Engineering at Al- Azhar University. He obtained his Master degree in 1978 in Mining Engineering (Engineering Geology) which was about the factors affecting swelling behavior of expansive deposits in a dry desert region.

 He submitted at the Institute National of Polytechnique in 1980 in France to prepare his Doctrat. He obtained his Ph.D in 1984 in the Civil Engineering domain which was about the study of swelling behavior of expansive deposits in the triaxial apparatus.

He has obtained a full Professor degree since 1995 and he was a Vice – Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Al-Azhar University in 2005before his submession to the King Abdullaziz University.

Prof. Dr. Aboushhok has have a very large and wide consultation experiences in the following subjects:

 

1-       Problematic Soils & Rocks Engineering

2-       Tunnel Engineering

3-       Mining Engineering

4-       Engineering Geology
